Your Oura readiness score, explained
Oura's readiness score runs 0–100, but the number alone doesn't tell you what to do. Vitra Health reads it against your personal baseline, turns it into one plain-English sentence about your day, and names the factors moving it — all on your desktop, computed locally.
Readiness blends several signals — sleep, recovery, body temperature, recent load — into one figure. That's convenient, but a bare “74” leaves you guessing whether to train, rest, or push. Vitra closes that gap.
What Vitra shows
- Against your baseline
- Today's readiness compared to your own rolling normal — high, in line, or low for you.
- One-sentence read
- 'You're ready. Train hard this morning.' / 'Take it easy.' — a single decision, not a dashboard.
- Most leveraged action
- The one change most likely to help your day, drawn from your own history.
- What moves it
- Ranked factors — sleep before midnight, cold room, alcohol last 24h, back-to-back hard days — with their personal effect size.
- Honest confidence
- Vitra says how sure it is and stays quiet on nights with insufficient data, instead of inventing a verdict.
- Local
- Computed on your machine. No cloud, no Vitra account.
Context over the number
The whole point is interpretation. A score should never leave you wondering “is this good or bad?” Vitra answers that in your own terms, every morning, and tells you the one thing worth doing about it.
General education, not medical advice. Readiness is a convenience score built from a few signals, not a health assessment. If something feels wrong, talk to a clinician rather than waiting for a number to agree.
