Vitra reads your Oura Ring data locally on your Mac or PC and turns it into personal baselines and a plain-English daily read — so you actually understand what your ring records, not just the numbers. A one-time purchase (€19 Solo / €29 Pro), with no subscription of its own.
You bought the ring. Paying every month, forever, to understand what it records can feel backwards. Vitra is built for people who want depth from their Oura data without signing up for another subscription.

What you actually get
Vitra runs a local AI on your computer that studies your nightly signals across months and learns your baselines — not a population average. Each morning you get one score and one sentence: what your body is doing today and what it's asking for. Alerts cite the research behind them. Everything stays on your machine.
How it connects to Oura
Vitra authenticates with your Oura account through the public Oura API and imports your ring history on first launch. It charges no subscription of its own. One thing to know: since late 2025 Oura requires an active Membership for API access on Gen 3, Ring 4 and Ring 5 rings (Gen 2 is exempt) — that's Oura's rule, not ours. Whatever you've already imported stays on your machine and keeps working even if your Oura Membership lapses.
Frequently asked
Can I use my Oura Ring without a subscription?
Vitra itself never charges a subscription — it's a one-time purchase. One caveat on the Oura side: in late 2025 Oura changed its API so that Gen 3, Ring 4 and Ring 5 now need an active Oura Membership to pull data through the API (only the older Gen 2 is exempt). Any history you've already imported into Vitra stays on your machine and keeps working regardless.
How much does Vitra cost?
€19 one-time for Solo (1 device) or €29 one-time for Pro (3 devices). No subscription, ever. There's a 7-day trial and no credit card is required to start.
Does Vitra need an Oura Membership to work?
Vitra has no Membership or subscription of its own. But because it reads through Oura's public API — and Oura now gates API access for Gen 3, Ring 4 and Ring 5 behind an active Membership (since late 2025) — you'll need that Membership for live syncing on those rings. Gen 2 rings are unaffected, and data you've already imported stays available locally even if your Membership lapses.
What do I lose by skipping the Oura subscription?
On Gen 3, Ring 4 and Ring 5, skipping the Oura Membership now means the Oura API stops serving new data to any third-party app, including Vitra — that's Oura's rule, not ours. What Vitra adds on top of the data it can read — personal baselines, research-grounded alerts, a one-sentence daily read — never carries a recurring bill of its own.
Why one-time payment instead of a subscription?
Subscription health apps are incentivised toward lock-in over usefulness. Vitra is a tool: buy it once, own it. Updates within the same major version are free.
